Rebel Wilson Opens up About 75-Pound Weight Loss in New Photo: "It's Never Too Late"
Rebel Wilson has already shed an astonishing 75 pounds
during her self-proclaimed "year of health." Now, she's opening up
about the steps she took to become the "best version" of herself.
In a new Instagram post, the star of the upcoming film
Senior Year reveals what helped her stay motivated when she was at her
lowest—and why "it's never too late" to get healthy. Read on to
discover exactly how Wilson transformed her body.
Wilson says she once used food to "numb" her emotions.
Though Wilson has more recently shared snaps that show off
her slim figure, the actor just posted a pic of herself at her former weight on
Instagram.
"I remember this was when I was at my most unhealthiest
– being overweight and indulging way too much with junk food. Using food to
numb my emotions. My father had passed away of a heart attack and it was such a
sad time. I didn't think highly of myself and wasn't valuing myself how I
should have," she captioned the Aug. 18 photo, in which she poses with tennis
star Novak Djokovic, who she calls "such a nice guy."
"It's interesting that I'm still smiling and still
trying to be active…despite being in so much pain. I look back now at that girl
and am so proud of what she's become and achieved. And just wanted to send out
some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues
or emotional eating. I feel you. I know what it's like. But it's never too late
to start improving yourself and trying to be the best version of YOU
possible."
Wilson replaced treats with new rewards.
Instead of trying to completely revamp every aspect of her
eating and exercise habits in one fell swoop, Wilson said it was the small
changes to her daily routine that actually made the biggest difference.
"What I learned is it's really the little things that I
do every day that make a difference . . . Anyone can go on walks and drink more
water and do little, consistent things that'll improve their lives," she
also told InStyle.

Wilson lost weight with a specific goal in mind.
t wasn't just looking better or feeling more confident that
prompted Wilson to lose the weight. The actor revealed during an Instagram Live
in May that a major part of her decision to lose weight was her desire to
become a mother.
"I was thinking fertility and having quality eggs in
the bank," she explained. "I was like, 'OK, I'm gonna do this. I'm
gonna get healthy.'"
